Such a whimsical spot to stop by when you're at the Butte Mountain resort! I didn't buy anything but this place could be the quirky love child of Tim Burton and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and it has a very unique feel to it. They have a pool table, hula hoops to play with, skee ball and other games plus a photobooth which solidifies its awesomeness because anywhere that has a photobooth is aces in my book. You would think being a candy store it's solely for kids but this place caters to grownups with drinks, sandwiches, cupcakes and other goodies that we should treat ourselves with every now and then. The owner was very inviting and gave us the scoop on the place (speaking of which, they have ice cream!) but the ginger boy working there was a bit awkward. If I'm ever here again I will definitely stop by for some yummies!

Unique environ with the roaring 20's style bar on one side and sock hop 50's soda fountain on the other. The food is simple (street tacos and nachos) and the bevvie selection limited, but it works. Came here on a Friday night since most of the town closes early (really? Its ski season!) and it was perfect. Minimal crowd and ample seating. The service was great (even tho its just one employee) and the music not too loud (70's rocks). There are also pool tables, ski ball or video games to entertain the young ones. This is what I call a diamond in the rough.

I was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed in the sweet spot. Surprised - because they serve breakfast. With Avalanche no longer serving breakfast your options at the base area are limited to the buffet at grand lodge (good, but typical buffet and $13 each plus a tip), or camp4coffee which is awesome but always crowded. So having their breakfast tacos was a nice thing to find out - pretty good food, would go again if Camp had a line. I was disappointed though because I had seen all these reviews that they served a local ice cream third bowl, and every night I wanted to stop by and get some but they were always closed by the time I got there (usually by 8), they don't post closing hours they just stay open til things get slow... Which I understand... But finally they were open when I went by, but then discovered it was Breyers ice cream! Nothing special about that. I'm not sure if is return to the sweet spot or not.

Who relived their childhood for a split second with skeeball and dove into the photobooth? I DID! I DID! This place is all sorts of nostalgia along with a wonderful staff with a ton of candy knowledge. I didn't realize they had a kitchen too so I will make it a point to drop by on my next visit to Crested Butte! I got a box of chocolate puff balls and jelly belly jellybeans. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting! They have other arcade games along with a giant wall of candy to boot! I felt like I was walking through an old time candy store that you only get to see in the movies! Except this one was A LOT bigger! You have to check this out while you're in town!

OK. I returned. I'm a fan. This place is great. It is eclectic and inviting. After just stopping in here to look around, we returned to really get down to the nitty gritty. We go some ice cream for my son from Third Bowl (which is always the best) and my wife and I had some cocktails - and they were awesome. Although I love Lobar for its food, I've never been a huge fan of the cocktails. Thus, I was skeptical of the cocktails at Sweet Spot since they are related. My worries were unfounded. The cocktails were awesome. My wife had some Cat's Meow that wasn't on the menu and I had some cinnamon/fig drink that was exceptionally good and has won some awards. What surprised me most was the activity. After being there only two nights before, I was shocked to see how hopping this place could get. It was amazing the transformation. During the day, this is the place to be. Drinks, games, Asian food, ice cream, and candy? What's not to like. This is a great place to stop for apres ski.
